This upcoming Thursday, the OLHS Girls Volleyball team will be playing against Olentangy Orange, their long-term rivals. The JV/Freshman game is at 5:30pm and the varsity game is at 6:45pm. Both are home games and the theme is whiteout!
“Our game against Orange is so important because there is a huge rivalry that has been created over the years. The atmosphere is electric to play in and it just makes it that much better and more competitive,” said senior Elaina Richardson.
After their recent clean sweep for all three teams on Senior Night, the players are feeling positive going into this game. They have been putting the work in not only for this upcoming game but also for the post-season ahead.
“We have had a very successful season so far, we are a very consistent team full of hard workers,” Richardson said.
The Liberty Girls team has a history of success, reaching the state finals in 2021. They continue to strive for excellence. Post-season is quickly approaching and the team is determined to reach their goals.
“We are currently 7th in the state and we are looking to take our talents to state,” Richardson said. “This team has so much potential and I believe we can achieve our goals if we are focused and putting in max effort.”
