First Issue of The Cannon Out This Week

We are so excited to release the first issue of the Cannon for the 2024-2025 year. As the new school year begins, we are grateful to share our stories with you all.

This year we take on the roles of Editors-in-Chief. It is our fourth year in the journalism program at Liberty and our third year as part of the Cannon staff, and we feel so lucky to be a part of such a supportive and creative community.

For the first issue, we wanted to publish a “Student-Life” edition for our first issue. This issue will feature student, staff, sports, and liberty-centric stories. We aim to capture the spirit, community, and character of Liberty throughout this issue. Each story, whether it is news, opinion, sports, or a feature, is written and designed by a member of the staff.

We are selling before and during school on Thursday and Friday, so be sure to bring $3 or you can Venmo us for your very own copy!

Natalie Contini, Staff Writer

Senior Natalie Contini is a third-year Cannon and Patriot Press staff member. As the Editor in Chief of The Cannon, she enjoys designing articles and writing student features and opinion pieces. Natalie is very involved in her school, being the theatre program’s stage manager and also president of the book club. Aside from her roles within the school, she enjoys concerts and has seen numerous of her favorite artists, Harry Styles, Clairo and Childish Gambino. She fills the rest of her schedule working at Harvest Pizzeria in Dublin.

Caroline Mohler, Staff Writer

Caroline Mohler is a Junior at Olentangy Liberty High School. This is her third year in the journalism program and second year in The Cannon/Patriot Press. She is a staff writer for Patriot Press and a Copy Editor for The Cannon. In her free time she likes to read, play lacrosse, listen to music, and watch Netflix.
