The Ohio Theater in Downtown Columbus houses many shows yearly, including eight musicals coming in the next few months. Here is the list of upcoming performances.
The Book of Mormon (October 8th-13th, 2024) – Created by the same people as South Park, The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy that follows two missionaries as they go to Uganda to try and convert the people living there to Mormon, there they discover that their mission may be harder than they thought due to poverty and violence in the area.
Peter Pan (January 14-19th 2025) – Based on the play and movie, this musical follows Peter Pan and his companion Tinker Bell as they visit the Darling children’s bedroom and take them on a magical journey to Neverland.
& Juliet (February 18th-23rd, 2025) – Based on the play Romeo and Juliet, this musical explores what could’ve happened if Juliet hadn’t died over Romeo. Instead of her tragic ending, she creates a new life filled with love and doing things her way.
Funny Girl (March 25th-30th, 2025) – A musical about Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side, who dreams of making it in show business and her journey in the 1900s.
A Beautiful Noise – A Neil Diamond Musical (April 22nd – 27th, 2025) – This musical tells the story of famous singer Neil Diamond and how he got so far with his music and became a star.
Kimberly Akimbo (June 3rd-8th, 2025) – A musical about growing up and going through life, sixteen-year-old Kimberly has to find her way in life with family drama, a rare genetic condition, and a few more struggles she picks up along the way while being determined to find happiness.
Hamilton (July 8th-20th 2025) – An educational musical about Alexander Hamilton that follows him fighting to win independence for America and then helping form the country we know today while fighting his own struggles with family and friends.
