On September 6th, the OLHS Counselors will be hosting their annual Senior Seminar during English courses.
The seminar is broken down into two sections, and below is a brief overview.
Part 1:
- Graduation requirements
- 4 English credits, 4 math credits, 3 science credits, 3 social studies credits, and 1 fine art credit.
- Health and PE credit.
- “Demonstration of competency” with Ohio state tests.
- “Demonstration of readiness” with 2 seals
- College Application Process
- Narrowing down choices
- Required items for application
- Forms of application (Common Application, School Specific Application, Coalition Application)
- Information regarding transcript
- Submitting test scores (ACT, SAT, AP scores)
- Letters of recommendation
- Admissions schedule (Early decision, early action, regular decision)
- NCAA requirements
- Financial Aid/FAFSA
- Important deadlines
- How to utilize Schoollinks with application
