Liberty Theater Workshop Preforms Senior Show This Weekend

Liberty Theater Workshop is working on their production of the upcoming senior show, “Killer? I Hardly Know Her!” to be preformed in the school theater May 3-5. Tickets to see the show are $10 and available at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/84072

The senior show has been entirely written, directed, and put together by the seniors in theater, but the underclassmen are acting in it. They have been working on writing the script and designing the set for many months, and have been directing the rehearsals for weeks.

“It’s been really fun to put the whole thing together and basically the process with that started all the way at the beginning of the year. The idea has changed a lot since the first meeting, but it’s been really fun to develop that idea and take feedback from other people,” said senior Allyson Airey, who helped to write and direct the show.

While the seniors have put a lot of work into creating the plot, the actors have been also been working with them really hard to make the story and characters come to life.

“We really put a lot of work into this, during tech week we’re here until like 7 or 8 p.m. every single night, it’s just so technical and all the lines are so specific. I think we all get stressed out sometimes but overall it’s a really fun experience and I’m really glad we’ve gotten to work with the seniors and get closer to them,” said freshman actor Morgan Childs, who plays the character Gwen in the show.

“Killer? I Hardly Know Her!” is a hilarious and entertaining performance that takes place in the Whitlock Manor, the house where several murders occur from the 60s to present day. The show is funny, exciting, entertaining, and leaves you waiting until the end to find out the killer’s identity.

“The show is a murder mystery, and the ghosts of the people that have been killed are still haunting the people who are alive. They are trying to figure out the murders to help all the people that are alive solve their murder because the ghosts don’t know who killed them either,” said Childs.

You can come and support the seniors and the actors hard work by bringing your friends and family to see the show on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., as well as Sunday at 2 p.m.

“We’ve all put so much time and effort into this, I really think everyone should come see it,” said Childs.
