Every year, students at Liberty experience the inevitable disappointment at homecoming where we all reflect on the horrid music that the millennial DJ the school hires thinks is popular amongst us teens. Instead of predicting the songs we think the DJ will play at homecoming, we are going to list the songs we wish would play at homecoming, because they usually end up playing all the same music anyways.
Deli – This masterpiece is the song of the century by the queen herself. It is very unlikely that this would ever make the cut because of its vulgar lyrics but this song never misses.
My Power – Everyone should be able to channel their inner Blue Ivy moves on the dance floor.
Barbie World – Two queens in one track? So barbie! Song of the year, no competition whatsoever.
Juju on that Beat – Can we bring this back? We all know you are tired of lying to yourselves, saying that this dance is overrated. Bring back Musical.ly, bring back Juju On That Beat.
Cognac Queen – Meg is a must. Plus, literally everyone knows this song.
Shut Up and Drive – Honestly anything Rihanna would help to step up the music.
America Has a Problem ft Kendrick Lamar – Especially with Kendrick’s verse, this song would go so hard. We just need some Queen Bey on the setlist.
Picture to Burn – We are sick of basic Taylor Swift. Give us crazy Debut Taylor.
Hotel Room Service – Pitbull makes teens mosh.
Yeah! – Since Usher is going to the Superbowl we need him at Homecoming.
