This year’s prom is quickly approaching, set to take place on April 29th, from 8:00 to 10:00 in the evening. So, here is some information that is vital to any student who wants to make the most of their night:

Location: Columbus Athenaeum

Located conveniently in downtown Columbus, near many restaurants and photoshoot sites, the Athenaeum will be the prom’s location for the second year in a row.

Ticket Sales and Prices: $40.00

Tickets will be available for purchase by both juniors and seniors at Liberty. Upperclassman will also be able to buy tickets for dates or guests who don’t attend Liberty.

Theme: Night of Mystery

This year’s prom will be a masquerade ball. In order to fully embrace the theme, students are encouraged to wear masks. However, Ramidi says the class cabinet prefers that the masks “are not covering students’ whole face and are easily removable” for security purposes.

Pictures: In and Around Columbus

There are many wonderful photoshoot locations in and around Columbus for those intending to get some pictures with their friends in suits and dresses. According to ColumbusOnTheCheap, the Scioto Mile, Frank Fetch Park and Schiller Park are great options in the city. Outside of the city, Scioto Park (Dublin), the Park of Roses (Clintonville), and Coffman Park (Dublin), all provide the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot.

Prom can be an incredible experience for the Upperclassmen that participate. But it’s important that attendees plan ahead, participate, and follow school rules so that everyone can make the most of prom night.

“We hope that people participate in the theme so that everyone has a fun night,” Ramidi said. “We hope people will have a good time and that it’ll be a prom to remember.”
