Our Ranking of the Hardest AP Classes Taught at Liberty

There are many AP classes offered at Liberty, some much more easier than others. We’ve decided to rank the top five hardest classes taught at LHS.

1. AP Physics

At number 1, we have AP Physics. This class combines both scientific and mathematical principles. It is most definitely a college-level class. The national passing rate is a slim 51.6%. Get ready for your GPA to take a tumble!

2. AP Chemistry

Just behind Physics is AP Chemistry in difficulty, following closely behind at a national passing rate of 56.1%. At Liberty, this class is structured by a strong foundation of chemistry and algebra II knowledge. In this class, F is for fluorine and failure! 🙂

3. AP U.S. History

Third is AP U.S. History. The passing rate for this class is 58.7%.Good luck if you decide to take this class. You’re going to need it. Be prepared to be tested on every aspect of US history, despite having learned it or not. Along with knowing hundreds of events, APUSH demands critical thinking and essay writing skills. Edpuzzle points are critical in this class.

4. AP Biology

Next is AP Biology. This class has a national 61% passing rate. Just because you did well in honors biology does not mean you are prepared for AP, in the slightest. In addition to content, you must learn to develop scientific exploration, explanation, and analysis skills. Expect your grades to be semi-permeable, because only the bad ones will pass through to the gradebook!

5. AP Computer Science

Finally, we have AP Computer Science. This class is one that the majority of students aren’t able to decode. Memorization and analysis of codes is what it comes down to on the exam. The national passing rate for this class is 65.1%. You are going to want to ctrl+z your grades in this class.
