Top+10+Gilmore+Boys+Ranked

Natalie Contini and Caroline Mohler

Now that we’re entering Gilmore Girls season (fall), it’s time to rank the Gilmore Girls boys or as we’re calling it, Gilmore Boys.

10. Christopher

Starting off with the WORST character on the show. Period. He was controlling and a horrible influence in both Lorelei and Rory’s life. He was absent for most of Rory’s life and when he was present, it was only because he wanted to gain something. The only time he truly showed he cared was when he paid for Rory’s school.

9. Dean

While he was problematic and made poor decisions, the problems in the relationship between him and Rory weren’t one sided. He never felt satisfied in the relationship and was manipulative. The first time they broke up, he was mad because Rory didn’t say I love you back. Let’s not forget he also cheated on his wife with Rory (not that it was all his fault).

8. Zack

He was a sloppy second. He didn’t contribute much to the show and he held back Lane from pursuing her drumming passion. After they got together, Lane’s character development came to a standstill and became a boring character despite how much we loved her at the beginning of the show (much like Rory as a character after she graduated from Chilton).

7. Tristan

While he wasn’t on the show for long, Tristan was one of the more likable love interests of Rory. He was a jerk to many but had a soft spot for Rory. Like other characters on the show, his time was cut short to play a role in a different show, which is why his ranking is lower. Tristan will always have a special place in our hearts.

6. Jess

Many Gilmore Girls fans favorite boyfriend, Jess, was a boy who shook up Rory’s life in more ways than one. His bad boy persona has appeal, but we don’t believe he fulfilled the boyfriend role for Rory well enough. He was often distant, bipolar, jealous, and insecure.

5. Logan

He was the best boyfriend of Rory’s; but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have his imperfections. Yale Rory was wasted potential and her decision making was questionable, which means her relationship with Logan was flawed. Because of Logan’s dad’s comments, she gave up on many of her dreams she has had since the beginning of the show. Rory not accepting his marriage proposal was one of the many factors that contributed to her final state in the reboot, (let’s not talk about how bad that was.)

4. Michel

Michel may have had a snappy attitude, but he stuck around until the end; which says a lot compared to many of the men in this show.

3. Luke

Luke is a day one. He was a rock for Lorelai all throughout the show. Whenever Lorelei needed work on the house, he was there. Whenever Lorelei needed coffee, he was there. Whenever Lorelei needed help with Rory, he was there. His love for Lorelei and Rory was unconditional.

2. Dave

He was most definitely the best love interest in the show. He actually put in the effort to be there for Lane and wholeheartedly supported her. He would’ve been number 1 if Adam Brody didn’t leave the show for The OC.

And finally the number one Gilmore Boy is…

1. Kirk

He was the man everyone needed in the show. You could always count on Kirk to be there. No matter what. He was the only true man to exist on the show.

All of the Gilmore Girls boys have their ups and downs in the show. None are perfect (except for Kirk). Everyone has their favorites and most of them are incorrect. We hope this list educates the general public on the real best Gilmore Boys.
