Olentangy Girls Lacrosse’s regular season has come to an end with a 15-3 record. In nine of their wins, the team won by at least 10 points. Even in close games, the team showed dominance throughout the season.

Among individual players, there have been many standouts. One of them is Senior Megan Benton. She averaged the most goals per game, 5.4. Early this season, Benton scored 11 of the 13 points in a win against Dublin Coffman High School. She also leads the team in caused turnovers, ground balls, and shots on goal. For the 2025-26 season, Benton ranked sixth in the state. Other star players this season include Audrey Bartosik and Evie Howenstine, both Seniors. Bartosik is the team’s leading assister with 47 assists. Howenstine has the most saves with 114. Overall, there have been many key players this season, all of whom play meaningful roles on the team despite the stats.

Four seniors have committed to taking their talents to the college level. The first is Megan Benton, who will attend The Ohio State University and play midfield. Maggie Kempa will continue on defense at Kent State University. Audrey Bartosik is attending Rider University, playing midfield. Finally, Evie Howenstine will play goalie at Mount Union University.

In total, there are 9 seniors on the team. However, despite the departures, the team is still full of stars and up-and-coming players who will continue to make a dominant impact. At the end of the regular season, the team holds impressive ranks. They’re first in Division 1 Ohio Girls Lacrosse, 3rd in the state, 7th in the Midwest region, and 138th in the nation.

Overall, the Olentangy Girls Lacrosse team has had an incredible regular season, continuing the success from previous seasons. Wishing them the best of luck during the postseason, and big things for the departing seniors!
