Red Cross Spring Fundraiser

Melissa Cash is the teacher supervisor of The Red Cross club and helps the students plan and run events being a great asset to the clubs success. After she had become their supervisor she had a better sense of belonging and was able to use the club to better get to know her students better. “Being a new teacher to Liberty I didn’t know where my place was other than being a Spanish teacher but being a part of the Red Cross club has given me a sense of belonging and purpose.” Said Cash

Cheetan nagulapati ‘29 is doing photography for students at the red cross fundraiser. Cheetan had joined the red cross at the start of the year to help his friend. “I wanted to help mani do good things for the community.” Said Nagulapati.

At the fundraiser Adithi Baskar ‘29 has mainly been welcoming people while handling the tickets. For Adithi one of the main reasons she joined The Red Cross club was so she could help the comunity. “It’s amazing how everyone is coming together just for this cause and for our community.” Said Baskar.

Vaidhika Pesani ‘29 is doing a few things in the event though she is mainly doing face paint. She had earlier joined the red cross at the start of the year “It made me realize how many people are actually in need.” Said Pesani.

Prisha Gour ‘29 is working at the face paint table and is doing peoples henna. Prisha decided to volunteer for the red cross fundraiser though she is not a part of the club. “I want to put my skills to use to better my community.” Said Gour.

During her break Bodhi Ambati ‘29 is participating in some of the more outside games. Earlier during Bodhi’s shift she helped with welcoming people and she helped handle tickets. “Red Cross is a great way to support the school and community while having fun with my friends.” Said Ambati.
