On January 16th, Mitski released her new single Wheres my Phone along with a music video for her upcoming album Nothing’s About to Happen to Me, out February 27th.

It’s been over two years since her album The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We was released, and this album seems to be heading in a different direction. The cinematic and folky sound of The Land is Inhosipitable and So Are We doesn’t seem to be in line with the rock and high energy sound of her recent single. It’s reminiscent of one of her older songs off of Puberty 2 called Dan the Dancer. 

Mitski has released the tracklist of the album; In a Lake, Where’s My Phone?, Cats, If I Leave, Dead Women, Instead of Here, I’ll Change for You, Rules, That White Cat, Charon’s Obol, Lightning.
