Avengers Doomsday is set to release in theaters on December 18th this year. The movie is expected to be a crossover between multiple heroes in different universes. Here’s the movies you need to watch before Doomsday
Thunderbolts – This is one of the most important ones to watch. Thunderbolts follows Ava Starr (Ghost), John Walker, Yelena Belova, Bob Reynolds (Sentry), Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) and Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian), who are all expected to play big roles in Doomsday. The end credit scene in Thunderbolts is also important to Doomsday.
Fantastic Four First Steps – The newest Fantastic Four movie is also important to watch before Doomsday. Just like Thunderbolts the end credit scene is important to understanding Doomsday, and Sue Storm and Reed Richards son Franklin Richards is also supposed to be important in Doomsday.
Captain America: Brave New World – The newest Captain America movie is an important one to watch before Doomsday. The new Falcon and Captain America are set to return in Doomsday, along with Steve Rodgers.
All the X-Men – The X-Men movies are important to watch before Doomsday as the X-Men are set to be important characters in Doomsday. Eight movies definitely is a lot but it’ll help a lot with understanding Doomsday
Hawkeye – The TV show on Disney+ is important to understanding one character who is set to be in Doomsday, Kate Bishop.
Avengers Endgame – This is definitely a very important movie to watch before anything new avengers, as it plays an important role in the rest of the MCU.
Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness – This movie introduces America Chavez who is set to be in Doomsday (i think). It also builds on the multiverse, which is important to know for Doomsday.
Deadpool and Wolverine – Deadpool and Wolverine are both set to return in Doomsday, so it’s important to watch this movie beforehand.
Thor: Love and Thunder – Thor’s adopted daughter ‘Love’ is set to have a big role in Doomsday, so it’s important to watch before Doomsday. Thor is also expected to return.
Shang-Chi – Shang-Chi is set to return in Doomsday and team up with the other heros, so you need to watch his solo movie before.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Shuri and other people from Wakanda are set to return in Doomsday and have already been shown in the teasers so it’s important to be up to date with Wakanda before Doomsday.
Loki – Loki is set to return to Doomsday and it talks about the multiverse so it’s important to watch before Doomsday.
The Marvels – The Marvels introduces, Ms Marvel, who is set to be in Doomsday. She also has her own TV show on Disney+ that may also be important to watch.
Wanda-Vision – Wanda Vision dives into the multiverse and you’re introduced to Wanada’s twins Billy and Tommy, who are important to understanding the multiverse.
Agatha All Along – Along with Wanda-Vision, Tommy has a big role in Agatha All Along and it builds on the multiverse more, so you need to watch it before Doomsday.
These are all guesses as I’m not 100% sure what all is going to be included in Doomsday, but I think this is a good place to start. These are the most important things to watch, but you might need to watch pretty much anything Marvel has released unfortunately.
