We’re days away from another historic matchup between the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes and the 4-time rivalry winners the Michigan Wolverines. 

OHIO STATE

Ohio State has had a very dominant season so far, as their defense has been the most dominant in college football and their quarterback Julian Sayin has had the highest completion percentage in college football history. He has had a completion percentage of 80% this season. 

Two of OSU’s top wide receivers are Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate, who are both huge threats on offense. Smith has averaged 13.1 yards per catch and Tate has averaged 18.2 yards per catch. Another threat on OSU’s offense is running back Bo Jackson, who averages 6.5 yards per carry. 

As talented as OSU’s offense is, don’t forget about their defense. Like I mentioned earlier, their defense has been the best in college football this season, with standout players such as star safety Caleb Downs, arguably the best defensive player in college football right now. There’s also defensive end Caden Curry, who had 1 forced fumble last game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. 

MICHIGAN

Michigan has also had an extremely dominant season with a 9-2 record that puts them as the 15th best team in the country. Despite the rank advantage OSU will have a run for their money facing off against true freshman, Big Ten freshman of the week Bryce Underwood. Another big threat is senior Edge Rusher Derrick Moore who’s coming off a 2 sack game against Purdue. And don’t forget about All-American Rookie kicker of the year Dominic Zivada, who won the game for Michigan last year. As strong as Michigan’s team is the main threat is Michigan’s coaches who have pulled away with upset wins the last four years.
