Ronnie’s Thoughts
I want to watch this movie on the Saturday after the movie is released. I had heard good things about the movie and went in with high hopes. I would like to say that my expectations were met. While this movie was based off a Colleen Hoover book and I don’t necessarily like her books. This movie did very well for what it was given. I personally thought the movie was good. It was very cute. I enjoyed the acting and the story line was intriguing. While the pacing was slightly off I was easily able to get past it to enjoy the story. The movie also had a very cute ending witch I enjoyed.
Max Thoughts:
I also went to watch this movie on the Saturday after its release. I personally did not like it. I thought the movie was really predictable and, yes I understand it’s a romcom, it’s supposed to be cute and cheesy but this movie took it to the next level. From the beginning I could tell how the movie was going to end, it was clear both couples were with their complete opposite and would’ve been better with the other. One specific scene that I hated was when Morgan and Jonah were in the pool together, it was just plain weird and disgusted me a lot. I also had some trouble following the plot, it felt like the story was a little bit all over. Mckenna Grace’s acting was good, however I did not like Dave Franco’s terrible acting. I also think the characters were weirdly written, I think it was clear the writer was trying to write teenage characters as an adult, and in the media that never turns out good.
