Bite Me – Renee Rapp
Renee Rapp released her second album “Bite Me” on August 1st featuring the singles “Leave me Alone” and “Mad”. This is Rapp’s first music release since 2023 and she is celebrating by going on her first ever arena tour. She is set to play at Nationwide Arena in Downtown Columbus on October 8th.
Wishbone – Conan Gray
Conan Gray released his fourth album titled ‘Wishbone’ on August 15th featuring the single “This Song” he released back in May. One of the producers on this album, Dan Nigro has also worked with artists like Taylor Swift, Lorde, Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan in the past and has done some of Conan’s older songs like “Heather”
I Barley Know Her – Sombr
Sombr put out his first album, “I Barley Know Her” on August twenty second featuring some of his popular songs like “Back to Friends” and “Undressed”. The album itself has ten songs and is considered Bedroom Pop. The album was also written solely by Sombr and he plays the majority of the instruments you hear in the songs himself. It was also co-produced by Tony Berg who has also worked with artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Lizzy McAlpine. Sombr is going on a tour for this album and he is making a stop at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, however the show is sold out.
A Matter of Time – Laufey
Laufey released her third album “A Matter of Time” on August twenty second. The album contains a mix of jazz and classical music with some pop elements added in as well as the pre-released lead single “Silver Lining”. One of the producers on this album was Aaronn Dessner of the National who also has done music for artists like Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams.
Man’s Best Friend – Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter’s seventh album is set to release on August 29th. So far she has released one single from the album titled “Manchild” that was a big hit with audiences. The album itself will have 12 songs and she is already teasing a music video for the song.
The Life of a Showgirl – Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s twelfth studio album “The Life of a Showgirl” is set to release on October third. The theme of this album seems to be “The Show Life” as Swift mentioned she wrote this while in Europe on The Eras Tour. Fans are speculating Swift might go back on tour for this album but as of now nothing has been released.
