The peppermint mocha is by far my favorite holiday drink Starbucks has to offer, especially when the cold really starts to set in. The hot espresso has subtle hints of peppermint and chocolate. The drink is very milky and almost reminds me of a fancy hot chocolate. The peppermint is not too strong so drinking this “seasonal” drink past December is still satisfying. It is also served in Starbucks’ holiday cup which adds on to the festivity as well as looks.
Iced Caramel Brulée latte

The iced caramel brulee latte has definitely become a fan favorite this year and it is clear why. I have never tried this drink before this year but it has definitely become one of my new holiday favorites. It is a very sweet latte and also very milky but it has a perfect amount of caramel to compliment the espresso. If you do not care for the whipped cream and caramel toppings, it is also nicely paired with the chestnut praline cold foam if you want to add a different flavor on top. The drink can be made iced or hot, I got the iced latte so I am excited to try the hot latte once it becomes colder outside.

This latte is very sweet. It is made typically with almond milk when ordered straight from the menu making it lighter than other lattes. It has red and green sprinkles that come on top adding a splash of festive colors. Many people this holiday season have been pairing this drink with the sugar cookie cold foam on top for an addition of the sugar cookie flavor. The coffee flavor is not very strong and is easily masked by just the latte and especially masked when you add the cold foam.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this drink as much as the others but it definitely was a pleasant surprise to the holiday menu. For those warmer days you want to start getting into the christmas spirit or non coffee drinkers this drink is the perfect menu item. It was definitely not what I was expecting and is not too sweet. It reminds me of the Cran Orange Ocean Spray juice and with an addition of lemonade it is the perfect balance of flavors.
