Hey! My name is Matthew Onate. I love to write, particularly fiction (most of which you’ll be able to find in the Art and Literature section of the website!) such as short stories and flash fiction, perhaps take on a bigger project if I’m feeling ambitious. I also enjoy reading: anything will do, but I love the stuff that goes against the status-quo. If I was forced to choose a favorite author, it would have to be George Saunders, though Ray Bradbury is a close second. Outside of school, I run on the varsity squad for both the Cross-Country and Track & Field teams. I’m not sure what appeals so much to me about running, honestly; it was just something that I grew into and learned to love. Anyways, I hope you learn something from my writing, because I don’t think writing is worth much if you can’t grow from it!
