This weekend, Olentangy Model United Nations will be having their annual summit at the Columbus Athenaeum this weekend, from Friday February 9th, to Sunday, February 11th. Delegates from each Olentangy middle and high school will gather and share the research and resolutions that they have been working on for the entire school year.
The summit is three days long and will start on Friday night, go on for all day Saturday, and end on Sunday. During the summit, delegates from each country are given the opportunity to share their country’s issue and their proposed resolution, and other countries will vote on it to pass or fail.
The summit also has fun activities, like trivia, a dance, a talent show, and a cultural showcase. It is a great opportunity for students to mimic debate, learn about world affairs, and practice diplomacy and compromise.
