On Saturday April 1, 2023 celebrities worldwide gathered at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. The NMACC is a center built to shine a spotlight on Indian art and culture. Saturday was the grand opening of the NMACC and celebrities like Zendaya and Gigi Hadid showed up in stylish Indian clothing that caught the eye of many. The event also had great music and entertainment.

Clothing wise lots of celebrities showed up in stylish Indian attire. Zendaya arrived in a beautiful purple sparkle custom sari designed by Rahul Mishra. The sari also had hand embroidered floral print at the end. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas attended the event together. Chopra showed up in a festive modern dress. The NMACC inauguration was celebrated with a spectacular, three-day event that featured musical performances, a costume exhibit, and a gala supper, attended by stylish personalities like Priyanka Chopra, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and others.

Chopra attended the festivities on the first night in a sheer, sequined embroidered Elie Saab couture gown while she was joined by husband Nick Jonas. On April 1, the cultural center’s ceremonial opening, the former Bollywood actor chose a lively, handcrafted outfit with significant historical significance. 

Rahul Mishra, an Indian fashion designer, created shimmering handcrafted outfits for Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach. The actor looked stunning in a hand-embroidered purple sari dress and a textured gold bralette. This whole gala was a way for people to see the modern twist on Indian fashion.
