Over the course of the last five years, Timothée Chalamet has become a household name due to his performances in movies such as Call Me by Your Name and Little Women. The 26-year-old Academy Award nominee has had a very successful year, starring in the movie Dune and appearing in Don’t Look Up and The French Dispatch. As his career continues to flourish, fans are left to wonder what is coming next for the actor.

Shortly following the release of Dune on October 2nd, 2021, a second movie was announced. The first film, starring Chalamet as Paul Atreides, was a huge success racking in over $300 million in the worldwide box office. He starred alongside many successful actors and actresses such as Zendaya, Oscar Issac and Jason Momoa. Chalamet posted a photo on his Instagram confirming the second film on October 26, 2021. The film can be expected to pick up where the last film left off. The movies tell the story from the original 1965 novel, a young boy fulfilling his destiny to protect his family and his people from malevolent forces. 

Chalamet has recently been confirmed to star as Willy Wonka in a prequal to the beloved childhood books written by Roald Dahl and the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This film will be entitled Wonka. Chalamet’s range will be tested, as this film is a musical, something we haven’t seen him do on the big screen. The director, Paul King, is known best for the popular Paddinton movies. David Heyman is set to produce this film, Heyman is very well known for producing the Harry Potter movies. Wonka is set to be released in the United States on March 17th, 2023. 

 Back in January of 2021, it was confirmed that Chalamet would work once again with Luca Guadagino in a film entitled Bones and All. Guadagino directed the film Call Me by Your Name, often credited with starting Chalamet’s rise to fame. Guadagino is known for his intricate movies meant to touch his audience. Chalamet will be co-starring with Taylor Russel in the romance-horror film. An exact release date has not been announced, but the film is expected to be released in late 2022, or early 2023.
