JV track runs at OCC Photo Story

Freshman Leah Berger running the 800 meter race. Berger placed 2nd overall with a time of 2:29, a new personal record for Berger. “I executed the plan and trusted myself,” Berger said. “And it all paid off.”
Freshman Aiza Rahmani jumps and easily clears the 4’2 bar. Rahmani tied for fourth place after she had already run her 4×100 meters. “I placed well overall, but the rainy weather conditions made jumping pretty hard,” Rahmani said. “It wasn’t my best performance.”
Freshman Dasha Gogoleva running the 1600 meter run. Gogoleva hit a new personal record in her last meet of the season. “I’m happy I put all this work in this season and I’m excited to end it on a personal record,” Gogoleva said.
Freshman Katelyn Koflowitch is running the 400 meter dash. Koflowitch placed 7th overall and while she didn’t hit a personal record, she redeemed herself by running the 4×400 meter dash later that night. “The 400 is straight pain,” Koflowitch said. “I’m excited the season is over and I hope next year to run more 200 meters.”
Quinn Cachat anchoring the 4×800 meter run. Cachat and her relay team won the 4×800 meter run by almost 90 seconds. “I really enjoy running the 4×8 and I’m so happy we won,” Cachat said. “But it was all just a warmup for my 3200 where I almost got sub 12 for.”
Aiza Rahmani and Maddie Tyler are doing their 4×400 meter handoff. Their 4×400 meter team won the meet in the rain. “I’m extremely proud of our team for sticking it out through the rain and taking first place,” Rahmani said.
