This Wednesday April 23 at 7p.m. Liberty’s Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team defended their title as second in state against St. Xavier Boys Lacrosse at Ohio State University’s Lacrosse Stadium. Although the game was close, unfortunately Liberty lost to St. Xavier with an ending score of 10-16. This was one of Liberty’s toughest games because of St. Xavier being the biggest competition and one of the best teams in the state. Viewers who attended the game watched a very intense and suspenseful game as Liberty and St. Xavier are very competitive teams as they are both competing to be the best team in Ohio. Previously in the 2024 OHSAA Division one State Championship, Liberty defeated St. Xavier 15-14 securing their first state title in school history. This matchup has continued the growing rivalry between two highly ranked teams. Hopefully Liberty will have a chance to defeat St. Xavier this season in the state championship later this spring.
