Johnsons Ice Cream is set to open their second Powell location on April seventeenth at 50 South Liberty Street in the downtown area. 

Johnsons ice cream is a family owned business that opened in 1950 and has since been passed down through generations. 

Johnsons is celebrating their 75th year anniversary this year and has invested in three new stores this year, and lucky for us two of them are in Powell. The other Johnsons store that is yet to open is located in Pickerington and is set to open in May of this year. 

This new location will allow residents living near the downtown Powell area to be closer to a refreshing sweet treat, especially during the summer months. It’s location is prime in the Downtown as It’s set to open right across from the Powell Splash Pad and the Powell Amphitheater which will definitely get business booming on hot summer days. 

Johnsons offers the traditional ice cream flavors like Birthday Cake, Vanilla and Strawberry, but they also offer different flavors you can’t get in most places like Banana Fudge, Blue Sky and a Columbus special, Columbus Crunch. 

Johnsons ice cream has something for everyone, and on April seventeenth they will be offering free ice cream from 6pm-9pm just like their other Powell location did.
