Wild Ginger Asian Fusion is a unique restaurant and bar, expanding its variety of dishes to multiple locations in Ohio. I went to the location in Polaris, at 8591 Sancus Blvd. This is their third establishment, following its sister restaurants in Plain City and Hilliard. The restaurant offers a broad, diverse menu that blends Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisines.
The menu has every kind of regular/special roll, but also sushi and sashimi. There are so many options for meat, seafood, and even vegetarian options for these rolls and sushi, making it perfectly catered to anyone’s taste. The full menu includes lunch, appetizers, soup, salad, big bowl noodle soups, stir-fried noodles, fried rice, sushi, entrees, regular rolls, special rolls, and desserts. This expansive menu is perfect for a dinner with family or friends.
The restaurant features a spacious dining area with booths and tables and a bar on one side of the restaurant. The hosts are always super friendly, and after talking to one of them, I learned that 2 of them are twins and the owners of the restaurant as well. The ambiance is probably my favorite part. The dining area is dimly lit and has beautiful, authentic decorations lining the shelves and tables. One side has a window facing the busy street outside, making for a beautiful nighttime view, even with fairy lights on the restaurant’s exterior.
My favorite dish at the restaurant is probably their Thai curry with tofu. You get the option of chicken or tofu, but I personally love the way the tofu is cooked and the taste of the sauce. The curry consists of shitake mushrooms, bell pepper, green beans, zucchini, asparagus, red onion, potato, eggplant, and basil. This medley of vegetables and tofu is enhanced by the rich, flavorful sauce, and the dish is served hot with brown/white rice on the side. I can confidently say this is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. I highly recommend this dish, especially if you want to share it with the family.
I’ve also tried their rolls, which are similar to rolls from most Japanese restaurants, including the sweet potato tempura roll as a vegetarian option, spicy crab, and the classic California roll. The plating was neat and appealing, and the taste was on point.
Whether you’re craving sushi, hibachi, or traditional Asian dishes, Wild Ginger Asian Fusion is one of the best restaurants you can go to for the food and the experience.
