This past Tuesday the 25th, all the journalism classes (Yearbook, Cannon, and Broadcast) had an opportunity for an amazing field trip. They got to travel to the Nationwide arena and get a tour of the media team and areas used to bring the CBJ games to life. They got to see where they do their podcast, control sounds and lighting, and got to skate on the rink as well. Afterwards the group got to grab dinner at the North Market close by and the food was amazing too. After finishing that up, they headed back to the Nationwide Arena and caught the Blue Jacket’s game against the Dallas Stars. The classes had to leave in the 3rd half of the game because it was getting late, but the experience was amazing with friends. The Columbus Blue Jackets ended the night with a 6-4 win against the Dallas Stars. This was a super fun experience and really cool to know how everything works at these games.
