The English National Honors Society is hosting a writing center workshop in the english collab space. This will be held during periods 2 ,3 ,⅘ , 6/7, 10, and 11. This is available for all students to get feedback on what you’re working on in class. This is being held by students and is a great way to get some constructive feedback from your peers.
“The workshop is starting this week and will be open Thursday and Fridays. This week is like our practice week so new members can come and figure out how it will function for the rest of the year,” said Jeri Janowiecki ‘25.
This is a great way to enhance your writing skills and get feedback from other peers who may be in the same class or a higher one. If you like being a part of these writing workshops it might also benefit you to join NEHS. They have many different committees in it as well focusing on one specific idea like, lit magazine, writing center and more.
“My goals for this year are to make the writing center more well known, so that more people will know about the help that’s available.”
Going with your friends can help if you’re nervous about going alone, and the benefits that you’ll get out of it will be worth it. If you would like more information you can contact Mrs. Rust or Jeri Janowiecki ‘25.
“I want the writing center to be a place where people don’t feel the need to hide their writing and can feel confident in the words that they write,” Janowiecki ‘25 said.
