Recently Liberty defeated St. Edward, the reigning state champion 21-7 in the state semi finals, and now Liberty Football is on the road to states! The game played against Cincinnati Moeller will be played at a neutral location in Canton on December 6th at 7:30. Since this game is two or more hours away, transportation will be available.
Liberty is offering spirit buses as a mode of transportation for students who would otherwise not be able to attend the game. There is an initial fee to ride the spirit bus but the school will reimburse you once you arrive on the bus. Students will need to fill out a form and have it turned into the main office by Thursday at 12:00.
Eighty-eight students will be allowed to ride these buses and they can be from any grade level. The buses are expected to leave at exactly 4:30 pm and come home at around 12:00 am.
This Friday at around 7:30 the weather is supposed to be in the mid 20’s so make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes, including gloves, a hat and hand warmers. It is also important to note that the list of Canton approved bags are limited to 12”x6”x12” clear plastic tote bags, clear gallon Ziplock bags and clutches with shoulder straps or wrist straps that are no larger than 4.5”x6.5”.
All state championship games are being played at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. While the stadium is big it is still recommended that you show up early to the game to ensure a parking spot as well as good seats.
The game will be able to be streamed live on Spectrum News 1 and you can listen in on OHSAA Radio Network.
