A Playoff to Remember

The College Football Playoffs have been a major success since they were introduced in 2014. Four of the best teams face off in a win-or-go-home tournament. One thing that is accompanied by the playoff every year is criticism of the committee. The committee has been slandered in the past for showing bias when picking teams that will make the playoffs. This year the picks for the first three teams that would get in came without much criticism. The last spot was where the committee had to decide between a couple of teams. Their final choices were;

  1. Georgia (13-0) 2.) Michigan (13-0) 3.) TCU (12-1) 4.) Ohio State (11-1)

Georgia comes into these playoffs as the heavy favorites because of their star-studded defense. This defense has some of the best team stats of all time. Led by some heavy hitters and leaders such as Kelee Ringo, Jalen Carter, and Christopher Smith. This team has relied on their defense for huge moments in their season. The biggest question for this team going into their playoff is probably their Offense.

Michigan is the next team in this playoff. The Wolverines ended their season with a huge win against rival Ohio State and a Big Ten Championship. This team is hot going into the playoffs and got matched with the worst opponent on paper the TCU Horned Frogs. Michigan has had big moments from both their offense and their defense but their biggest question going into the playoffs is; How will injuries impact their team?

TCU is the third-ranked team in this playoff and is the team with the most questions. TCU ended its season with a disappointing loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship. This team is led by Senior Quarterback and leader Max Duggan. The team has questions going into the playoffs but they certainly have star power with future first-round pick Quentin Johnston. The biggest question going into the playoffs is; How can the rest of the team come together and support their main stars?

Ohio State is our fourth and final team in the playoffs. Ohio State ended its season with a devastating loss to rival Michigan. C.J. Stroud is the leader of this very talented Buckeye team, coach Ryan Day took some fire for his second straight loss to Michigan but he is prepared to try and take this Ohio State team deep into the playoffs. The biggest question for this team is; Can this team survive in the clutch and the big moments?
