With the spread of sickness being rampant at this time of year, I think it’s safe to say we’re all dreading the possibility of getting sick. On top of having to deal with pain and exhaustion, the boredom that comes with being sick makes for some difficult days. Thankfully, being sick gives you plenty of time to watch TV shows, which make being sick at least a bit more tolerable. After being sick two consecutive times within the last few weeks, I found plenty of shows to watch. Here’s the top five shows I recommend to watch when sick:

Survivor

While the genuine quality of the show is debatable, there’s no doubt that Survivor is an entertaining show that has something for everyone. With over 40 seasons to choose from, Survivor is a great show to watch when you don’t know what to do with the excessive amount of free time that comes with being sick.

Glee

Watching Glee is truly an experience. It definitely feels like a fever dream at times, so what better time to watch it than while sick? The unexplainable moments of the show’s plot, the surprisingly catchy music, and hilarious characters create the perfect entertainment for when you’re sick.

Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation has a perfect combination of hilarious plotlines, likable characters, and comforting moments that never fail to make me smile. Especially when you’re sick, watching Parks and Recreation is a great way to make you feel better.

Dance Moms

While I have to say that some elements of this show are questionable, to say the least, the drama and humor in each episode is unmatched. Dance Moms provides enough entertainment to, at least temporarily, distract you from the boredom, exhaustion, and pain that comes with being sick.

The Great British Bake Off

The Great British Bake Off is a feel-good show that provides much-needed comfort for when you’re sick. Even if you’re not into baking, the combination of the different contestants’ and judges’ personalities as well as the variety of challenges within the competition makes for great entertainment.
