The boys varsity basketball team had a hard fought loss against Dublin Coffman High School on January 2, at home. From the beginning of the game, Coffman had stellar defense and the Patriots had a hard time catching up. The final score of the first quarter was 21-15 Coffman.

During the 2nd quarter, not much changed. Coffman continued to run plays that the Patriots seemed to struggle to defend, which set Liberty even farther back on the road to a win. Many fouls were called on players in the second quarter, many of which outraged fans.

The top scorer for Liberty in the first half was Cam Barcus with 7 points. The final score of the first half was 38-29 Coffman.

The second half was much like the first, Coffman continued to dominate defensively and Liberty struggled to anticipate their next move.

The final score of the game was 86-65 Dublin Coffman.

The Patriots tried their hardest to stay on top of Coffman’s all star offense but couldn’t manage to get past their defense. The games top scorers were Nash Hostetler from Dublin Coffman with 31 total points and Ty Foster Liberty with 13 points. The boys varsity basketball team’s next game is on Tuesday, January 5th at home, go Patriots!
