Another week has come and gone as we move slowly towards the NFL playoffs. Week three was quite eventful, with many games coming down to the wire, and an unexpected tie. The injury bug still looms over the season, but there were a lot less injuries in week three. Now, we move on to week four.

Last Week: 9-6-1

Total: 31-16-1

Week Three Takeaways:

-Ryan Fitzpatrick stays the Dolphins starter, for now.

-The “Minshew Magic” is running out.

-The 49ers are a good team, even when half of their team is injured.

-The Giants still have a long way to go before they can even be considered a good team.

-Washington has shown their true colors after the surprising week one win.

-The Browns are good for the first time in a while.

-The Bengals NEED to protect Joe Burrow if they want to win.

-The Eagles are not the same team they were last year. Also, the Dak vs Wentz debate is over.

-The Raiders’ rushing defense is non-existent.

-Every other team in the NFL messed up by letting the Patriots sign Cam Newton.

-Nick Foles should’ve been the Bears starter from day one.

-The Falcons need a new head coach ASAP.

-The Rams have proven they’re a legit playoff contender.

-The Bills have proven they are the only AFC team that can challenge the Chiefs and Ravens.

-Don’t write off the Texans yet, they’ve lost to three Super Bowl contenders.

-When James Conner is healthy, he’s a top-15 RB in the NFL.

-Ryan Tannehill proved he can be clutch.

-Kirk Cousins should be gone as the Vikings QB by next season.

-Teddy Bridgewater may not be the long term solution for the Panthers, but he’ll do for now.

-The Chargers offense is more efficient when they utilize RB Austin Ekeler as a receiver.

-The Jets are the worst team in the NFL.

-The Colts offense has been lackluster thus far.

-The Cowboys will turn things around, the Seahawks are just too good.

-The Seahawks are the best team in the NFC.

-The Lions win is more likely than not a fluke.

-A loss to the Lions, and three interceptions really hurt QB Kyler Murray’s MVP chances.

-The Buccaneers offense will never be dormant because of the amount of weapons.

-The Broncos have the worst luck of all NFL teams.

-Aaron Rodgers has re-entered the MVP conversation.

-Drew Brees is on a fast decline, he needs Michael Thomas to slow it down.

-The Chiefs are the best team in the AFC.

-When the Ravens become a pass-first team, their offense suffers.

Week Four Predictions:

(Note: The Steelers-Titans game has been postponed and will be played later in the season.)

Thursday Night Football:

Broncos vs Jets:

What is up with these TNF matchups? This game is not good, and I don’t think it’s even going to be fun to watch. The Jets are by far the worst team in the NFL, but I think they’ll win this game, based solely on the fact that the entire Broncos offense is basically injured. The Broncos are starting an Undrafted Free Agent at QB, and that’s all I need to know to predict the Jets for the win.

Jets Win 14-6

Sunday 1:00 Games:

Saints vs Lions:

The Saints lost their second game of the season to the Packers last week and the Lions won their first game against the Cardinals. The Saints don’t look like the same team they did week one, but I still think they’re a better team than the Lions, and will win this game. I’ll feel way more confident in my prediction if Saints’ WR Michael Thomas is healthy this week.

Saints Win 27-20

Chargers vs Buccaneers:

While Justin Herbert is a better QB than Tyrod Taylor, he still has a long way to go. The game against the Panthers should have been a win, and it almost was if RB Austin Ekeler had caught the lateral from WR Keenan Allen. But, the Buccaneers are a much tougher test then the Panthers, and I think the Chargers will have some difficulty winning this game. So, I’m going to take the Buccaneers to win, but I think that the game will be a lot closer than most people expect.

Buccaneers Win 21-17

Jaguars vs Bengals:

This is the week Joe Burrow gets his first NFL win. I’m calling it now. Yes, the Bengals O-Line is really bad, but the Jaguars don’t really have a D-Line that can pressure a QB. As long as the Bengals O-Line gives Burrow some time to throw this week, he will pick apart the Jaguars defense. While the Jaguars will likely put up some points, I think the Bengals and Burrow will outlast and win this shootout.

Bengals Win 30-24

Vikings vs Texans:

The battle of two 0-3 teams. Which team will get their first win this week? I think it’s more likely than not going to be the Texans. Their QB is better, and their defense, while not great, is slightly better than the Vikings. Neither of these teams look like playoff contenders, but I think the Texans, simply put, are the better team, so they will win at home.

Texans Win 31-23

Seahawks vs Dolphins:

While the Dolphins did pull out a surprising win last week, the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL. There is no doubt in my mind that the Seahawks will win this game.

Seahawks Win 33-17

Browns vs Cowboys:

This game is going to be fun to watch. Two elite offenses going at it, in what will be one of the best games of the week. Even though the Browns are 2-1, and the Cowboys are 1-2, I have little hesitation when I say the Cowboys will win this game. The Cowboys have a better QB, RB, WR core and defense. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is leagues ahead of Browns QB Baker Mayfield, so the Cowboys will win this game.

Cowboys Win 35-28

Cardinals vs Panthers:

I think the Cardinals will rebound this week after a tough loss to the Lions and beat the Panthers pretty easily. Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is an MVP favorite and for good reason, he is playing like one of the best QBs in the NFL. The Christian McCaffrey-less Panthers don’t stand a chance against this Cardinals offense.

Cardinals Win 26-17

Colts vs Bears:

Nick Foles is now the starting QB for the Bears. The Mitch Trubisky era is finally over. While Foles is better than Trubisky, he isn’t the answer for the Bears at QB. No matter how much I want to pick the Colts to win, I just can’t. For some reason I can’t help but trust the Bears to get it done in week four. So, for reasons I can’t really explain, I’m going to pick the Bears to win this game.

Bears Win 23-14

Ravens vs Football Team:

The Ravens are going to be angry after getting blown out by the Chiefs. Subsequently, they’re going to take all their anger out on Washington. This game won’t even be close.

Ravens Win 35-12

Sunday 4:00 Games:

Giants vs Rams:

The Rams almost had a comeback win against a Super Bowl contender (yeah, I said it), and the Giants were destroyed by the 49ers practice squad. No question, the Rams are going to absolutely annihilate the Giants.

Rams Win 33-21

Patriots vs Chiefs:

This is the game of the week. Bellichick vs Reid. Mahomes vs Newton. I can’t wait to watch this game, it’s going to be incredible. While I think the Patriots will put up a good fight, the Chiefs look practically unbeatable at this point. The Chiefs will win a close one on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs Win 30-28

Bills vs Raiders:

This game will have some offensive fireworks. The Bills defense isn’t the same it wasn’t last year. They’re giving up a lot of points. But luckily for them, the offense has taken a huge step forward with QB Josh Allen playing the best football of his career. The Raiders defense is very susceptible to the run, so both RB Devin Singletary and Zach Moss should have a good game. The Raiders offense is also potent, but I think the Bills will win this game and stay undefeated.

Bills Win 27-21

Sunday Night Game:

Eagles vs 49ers:

The 49ers are missing so many starters, but I still think they’re going to win this game. That’s how bad the Eagles are. Carson Wentz is not playing like a starting QB and the O-Line is terrible. 49ers will get their second win with Nick Mullens at QB.

49ers Win 24-20

Monday Night Game:

Falcons vs Packers:

This is another game that will likely have a high point total. Neither defense can really stop anything through the air, so both QB Matt Ryan and QB Aaron Rodgers will have big games. Hopefully Packers WR Davante Adams will be healthy for this game, but even if he isn’t I think the Packers will win this game. The Falcons just can’t maintain a lead.

Packers Win 35-31
