Liberty is off to the State Championship after a nail biter win against Lakota East. Just 48 seconds into the game, Ludwig Conrad scored a goal with an assist from Jaggar Brooker. As the game went on, excitement built between the two teams, with both teams coming close to a goal.  But, the respective defenses held strong not allowing any more goals in the first half. Many of the coaches and fans (especially the student section), were on the edge of their seats, as the referees made many questionable calls. The first half ended and the score was 1-0 OLHS.

Liberty continued to keep up with Lakota East’s offense, and held strong when Lakota was given multiple corner kicks. Nonetheless, Liberty was able to fight off Lakota East with the final score of the match 1-0 in favor of the Patriots.  Liberty soccer will play at Crew Stadium against St. Ignatius on Sunday, November 10th at 7 p.m. in the State Finals. Come support our Patriots!
