The CAPA Marquee Awards are happening tomorrow in Downtown Columbus at the Ohio Theater. The Marquee Awards are the awards show for most of the high schools in Central Ohio’s Musical Productions.
CAPA representatives come to each of the shows and judge for people and productions that excel in each of the categories. These categories include National Student Reporter, Outstanding Student Designer, Outstanding Technical Execution, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Best Direction, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Best Production.
Some of the members of Liberty Theater Workshop have different roles in the upcoming showcase. Brenden Carrion, 26’ who played Danny McGuire/Zeus in LTW’s Xanadu, is a finalist nominee for Best Supporting Actor. Lauren Hardy, 25’ won National Student Reporter and is interviewing all the stars on the red carpet. Lexi Cooper 25’ who played Kira in LTW’s Xanadu, was one of the students chosen for the student showcase. Natalie Contini, 25’ LTW’s stage manager, is working backstage as a production assistant and stage manager for the upcoming award show.
